Care Instructions

While the final result of your microblading/microfusion is dependent on the aftercare of your brows, it is also important to take precautions before getting your procedure done.  Following the instructions below will ensure the longevity and appearance of your new eyebrows.

Pre-Care

  • Do not work out 24 hours before procedure.

  • No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before procedure.

  • Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to procedure.

  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before procedure.

  • No brow waxing, tinting, microdermabrasion or chemical peels one week before procedure.

  • Discontinue Retin-A, fish oil and other blood thinning medications or ointments 4 weeks prior to procedure.

  • No Botox around the brow area 2 weeks prior.

Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

Post-Care

  • Do not touch brows or surrounding area for at least 24 hours.

  • After the first 24 hour period, keep the area clean by using a fragrance-free gentile cleanser with clean hands. Do not use a washcloth or sponge as these can carry harmful bacteria.

  • Use your clean hands or a clean cotton swab to apply the healing ointment to your eyebrows for 7-10 days. Ointment can be applied at night but be sure to use sparingly as your skin needs to heal itself.

Avoid the following for 14 days

  • Working out excessively.  This may cause excessive sweat to affect the healing process.

  • Swimming pools, saunas, hot tubs and hot baths.

  • Sun tanning or salon tanning.  UVA/UVB rays have been known to cause a shift in pigment and premature fading.

  • Laser treatments, chemical treatments or peels containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck area.

  • Picking, peeling or scratching your eyebrows.  Doing so may cause scarring or removal of pigment.

  • Driving in open air vehicles such as, convertibles, boats, motorcycles or bicycles.

  • Touching of the area except for when cleaning and applying ointment with a clean cotton swab.

Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as the following: fever, redness at the site, swelling, tenderness at the procedure site, elevated body temperature, red streaks going from procedure site to the heart, and/or any green or yellow discharge accompanied by a foul odor.

THERE ARE NO IMPLIED OR WRITTEN GUARANTEES IF THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT FOLLOWED.
